Both Parish Churches were given major renovation works in 2007 at a combined cost of approx. €650,000. The work included the following; complete new heating system, new lighting throughout churches as well as new emergency lighting, restoration work and storm glazing of all stained glass windows. Major repairs were needed in the bell tower and porch of Tenure Church. Some walls also needed to be stripped, damp treated and re-plastered. Some new wood installations as part of the heat conservation. All the work was carried out to a very high standard. Some of the contractors involved were Larry Fay and Robert McGovern, Joe McGovern, Gerry Burns, Jim Macken, Renaissance Painters and Decorators and Rathbana Engineers who made the exquisite lights throughout Tenure Church.
